Hyderabad, historically known as Bolarum, is the capital of the Indian state of Telangana. Hyderabad was the capital after it became part of India and has grown to be one of India’s largest cities. It has a population of roughly 7 million people and is growing fast. This city has numerous hospitals and medical centres for treatment. The largest hospital in Hyderabad is “Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences”. Hyderabad is one of the old cities in India and there are many interesting historical places to visit in Hyderabad.



Charminar
The Charminar, a mosque and fortress in Old Hyderabad, are made around 1591 by Sultan Mohammed Quli Qutb Shah to mark his victory over the Deccan sultanates. This monument is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The main attraction of the Charminar is its four towering minarets, one each at the four corners of the monument, which rise to a height of 65 m (213 feet). The Charminar was construct in commemoration of the eradication of the plague from Hyderabad and encases within itself rich legends and tales.
Mecca Masjid
The Mecca Masjid or the masjid of Prophet Muhammad is a historic mosque in Hyderabad in Telangana, southern India. The mosque is also familiar as Masjid-i-Naran, or Mosque of the River Front. It is also popularly call as “Peacock Mosque” for its blue tiles which resemble peacock bird’s eyes. The Masjid also has a lecture hall and a prayer chamber.

Falaknuma Palace
The Falaknuma Palace, is a palace hotel in Hyderabad in southern India, on top of Falaknuma Hill. In 1955, the Nizam of Hyderabad state, Muhammad Mahabat Khan III, ordered the construction of the Falaknuma Palace for himself. It was construct in neo-Baroque style and borrowed from Italian renaissance palaces. The palace is on a 10-acre (4 hectares) plot with 360° views of Hyderabad city.



Golkonda Fort
The Golkonda Fort is one of the best-preserved forts in India and is a major tourist attraction near Hyderabad. Mughal Emperor Aurangazeb constructed it in the 17th century to help capture and control more territory in southern India. There are many examples of Islamic architecture, like intricately designed marble carvings and Persian tilework, inside its walls. It is among the most famous historical places in Hyderabad.
Chowmahalla Palace
The Chowmahalla Palace is a historical palace located in Hyderabad in Southern India. It was erect by Maratha King, Shivaji Saksena, and hence it is also familiar to the public as the Shivaji Palace. When the Nizams renounced their right to the throne in 1948, they gifted it to the Indian Government which declared it a national monument.



Qutub Shahi Tombs
The Qutb Shahi Tombs are tombs belonging to the Qutub Shahi dynasty of the Hyderabad Deccan region in India. The tombs were put up by Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb. The tombs are famous for their diamond-shaped tomb and dome-shaped windows along with friezes inside that depict people from different parts of South Asia. It is One of famous Historical Places in Hyderabad.



Salar Jung Museum
Salar Jung Museum is a museum in Hyderabad and is in the memory of Mir Yousuf Ali Khan. It has 120,000 works of art, artefacts and manuscripts in its collection, making it one of the finest museums in India. visited by more than 30,000 people every year. The museum has one of the largest collections of Persian Miniature paintings, has a large collection of Mughal paintings from the late 16th to early 18th centuries, and a rare collection from Central Asia.



Spanish Mosque
Spanish Mosque is one of the oldest mosques in Hyderabad and is one of the best-known landmarks in the city of Hyderabad. The mosque is also familiar to people as Charminar Masjid, which means “mosque at the four towers”. Spanish Mosque was put up by Mohammed Quli Qutub Shah and was traditionally used to offer prayers during the annual “Hajj” pilgrimage.
Thousand Pillar Temple
Thousand Pillar Temple is a famous Hindu temple in southern India, also known as the “Lakshmi-Narayana Temple”. It is close to the Falaknuma Palace and was put up during the reign of Qutbuddin Aibak. There are many carvings on the pillars that depict Indian mythology.



Paigah Tombs
The Paigah Tombs are the tombs of the Paigah nobles, who were one of the prominent political families native to Hyderabad State belonging to Pashtun origin. They were closely related to the Asaf Jah dynasty, and several members of this family served as prime ministers under them.

Taramati Baradari
Taramati Baradari is a famous monument of Hyderabad, India. The building is based on a traditional Indo-Islamic design and consists of three parts: the Baradari behind which is a porch, the main building and an annexe that is connected with it by an archway. It also contains a small minaret which includes rooms for visiting nobles and high officials.
Toli Masjid
Toli Masjid is a mosque located in Hyderabad in Telangana, India. It was put up by Mohammed Quli Qutub Shah, the founder of the Qutub Shahi dynasty, in 1591.
